League of Descendants of Lvov's Professors Murdered by Gestapo in July 1941

The League was founded in Wroclaw University on the 23rd June 2001. It became validated by the Court of Justice and registered under the number KRS 0000 101 328 on the 3rd April 2002.

Basing on its legalization, the board of the League entered upon its statutory duties at the conference on 20th April 2002. Realizing paragraph 2 point 4 that reads: " The aim of the League is (...) to bring forward to the governments representing the states or the nations whose official or nationalistic organizations have perpetuated this crime a demand, they may express a moral condemnation of the motives and the fact of this crime as well as to express the grief for that it has been performed" - the board of the League addressed on 20th May 2002 a memorial to the president of the Federal Republic of Germany Mr Johannes Rau by care of the ambassador of FRG in Warsaw Mr Frank Elbe delivered on 10^th June 2002.
